"I enjoy your events for the ability to match medical research, theory and insight, with humour and practical examples. Your events are professional and attract an interesting mix of young, driven people."

Young Garvan

What is Young Garvan?

Educate & Engage

Young Garvan was established in 2003 by a group of young supporters of the Garvan Institute. Our aim is to educate and engage young professionals on the importance of medical research and its impact on society.

Promote Awareness

In addition to promoting awareness of the Garvan Institute’s activities, Young Garvan raise funds for the Young Garvan Postdoctoral Fellowship, which allows a young scientist to broaden their experience by working on a key project at the Garvan Institute.

Participate

The majority of Young Garvan funds are raised through four interactive forums each year, which investigate current medical affairs and involve a panel of speakers that range from leading scientists to media identities.

Would your company like to get involved?

Garvan scientists have achieved many exciting, life-changing breakthroughs over the years and the Young Garvan Fellowship continues to strengthen the Institute’s reputation as a leader in gene based research.

Becoming an event sponsor:

  • enables your business to play a major role in the continued success of the Institute
  • is a unique opportunity to establish valuable networks within business, social and charities
  • provides great brand exposure for your business within large groups of influential young professionals
  • provides a distinguished association with the Garvan brand.

Without the support from key businesses, Young Garvan would not be able to continue its work of educating young people on the merits of medical research and the important work of the Young Garvan Fellowship.

Please email us for further information on sponsoring an event.
